The Alila Villas Soori is a new ultra modern resort from Bali

The Alila Villas Soori resort is a newcomer to Bali and it’s located far from the crowded tourist zone of Kuta and Seminyak, where most hotels are located. This ultra modern resort was actually designed by its owner, Soo Chan, a renowned architect based in Singapore, who wanted to build this five star resort in one of Bali’s most beautiful areas, on the remote southwest coast of the island.

The result was a stunning resort placed right near the island’s famous Tanah Lot Temple and the popular Nirwana Golf Course. Chan declared his resort aims to capture the “soul of old Bali” but it offers a ten bedroom residence with its own spa, gym and helicopter landing pad and 46 ultra modern villas surrounded by volcanic mountains, rice fields and black sand beaches.

The resort’s spa, called Spa Alila, offers unique treatments that blend ancient Asian healing techniques with age-old beauty recipes with fresh and natural ingredients. The restaurants from this resort are also another attraction, the best being Cotta, a restaurant which serves continental cuisine and regional Indonesian dishes. Another beautiful restaurant is Coast, which is just steps from the sand of the beach.

From each villa guests have stunning, panoramic views of the Indian Ocean and they’ll have their own private infinity swimming pool and direct access to the beach. All villas have Wi-Fi, LCD and Plasma TVs, AppleTV and iPods, indoor and door rain showers and guests will also have access to the spa and gym, tours on Segways, trips to local spice markets and other custom designed journeys.
